Oh my goodness, never have I ever been addicted to the television set. Of course, I never had TV when I lived in the woods. Don’t get me wrong, I had a TV – a flat screen – where I watched my DVDs on. But TV shows? Nope. Nada. Never. Read about ORPHAN BLACK if you don’t have time to read anything else.
Amazon Prime for Half Off
Being homeless and not having anything to do sucks. I can only take so many pictures of flowers in a given day, I can only play so many games, I can only walk the dogs for so many minutes and then… then what am I going to do? I found out that I could get Amazon Prime for half off with my EBT card. Sweet!
The Mentalist starring Simon Baker is the first TV series I started watching because I remember watching it with my Mom, back when she was still alive. It’s a good detective type series with a little bit of inner-office romance. I think they carried out Red John way too long, and the bad cops vs good cops was too theatrical for me. But overall, it was a TV series that when I was done watching an episode, I could go on with my day or evening.
Hanna is much more riveting of a TV series – it starts off with Hanna living in the woods with her father and then she’s on the run. A lot of drama and action as you, the watcher, try to figure out why Hanna is on the run.
Oh my gosh – I just finished this series and this is definitely for mature audiences only. I was addicted to this series. Addicted – like – cannot stop watching it – addicted. It consumed me. It’s sci-fi, thriller, suspense, drama, action rolled into one with the Canadian actress, Tatiana Maslany.
Orphan Black started in 2013 and had five seasons. It won a Primetime Emmy Award and 95% of the people who reviewed it loved it. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart. It definitely has gore, gay/lesbian scenes in it, some nudity, foul language, violence, etc. But if you want to be on the edge of your seat, cheering on for the characters, laughing and crying with them – Orphan Black is a must watch! Check it out here for the overview.
I also watched this TV series about a group of teenage girls who are supposed to fly to a camp that helps them cope and learn how to not be so angry, but they get shipwrecked on a deserted island. The series shows them surviving on their own…
The Wilds series is supposed to start up again sometime this year.
